Holy Light

I am the fire that wakes
The sleeping beast
In the dead of night
When the justice fails

I am the quaking that marks
When the change must come
Or the house will fall
On the children

I am the inner scream
To remind the small
Of the power they’ve
Forgotten

I am the remnant of hope
That cracks the seals
Of the vault that held it
Captive

I am the knowledge of that
Which has no name
That ignites the soul
To seize it

I am the tonic that cleans
The seeping wounds
Before they can
Be bandaged

I am the love of self
That stands its ground
And pierces through
The silence

I am ferocity
And holy light
That grips the sword
And cuts the lies
And gives you strength
To save your life
That you have mistaken
For darkness

I am Anger
