How it Works
Truth in Honesty
Our experiences are our access to truth. Whatever you believe and whatever you decide, it is linked to your interactions with existence. We cannot access deeper truths by lying to ourselves. It is through the practice of honesty, the action of allowing ourselves to look into our own eyes, that we can gain access to the hidden things. It’s easy when things look polished, but there is a great truth to be learned from sorrow and anger. And we only reach that truth if we honor it. Learning how to embrace this honesty, and learn from it, is where we begin.
- Learn to hear your heart
- Express what's truly there
- Expand to your true shape and size
- Stop holding it in
The Power of Action
We are the authors of this world, written in the sweat of passion and the blood of labor. Each action a single drip that together carve out the canyons of tomorrow. However powerless we may feel at times, we are, at all times and in all things, etching upon the stone of this world new structures that the future will rely on so inherently that the creatures of tomorrow would not recognize a world without them. We achieve this with action. With motion. With doing.
- Establish patterns that will create the world you envision
- Develop rituals that serve your needs and beliefs
- Produce outcomes through dedicated actions according to your own design
Open Your Voice
It is our thoughts that guide all aspects of how we move together through life. The power of your thought is the life force connecting you to all existence. When we speak, whether through sound or symbol or motion, we are calling forth our thoughts and projecting them into existence. This is the reciprocal processes by which the universe seeks discovery. Your voice has the power to create. To have an impact. It is by knowing and being known that we join the grand symphony. And that need that you feel, to be heard, echos in your heart with the exact intensity as the degree to which you are needed on the stage. For the love of fucking god, speak.
- Trust your own assessment
- Assert yourself with calm confidence
- Stand your ground
- Make yourself known
It is Right that You Love
All meaning that has ever been found or defined emerged as a consequence of relationship. Whether the meaning produced was desireable or repelling, the only reason that anything matters at all is because of connection. Don’t let anybody shame you for the fact that you want connection. That you want meaning. Don’t lose heart.
- Challenge societal lies that keep us isolated
- Stand up for your right to want love
- Don't settle for less than you deserve
- Advocate effectively for the quality of relationships that you deserve

FAQ:
Who are you and why should I trust you?
Hi. I’m Hopper. Honestly, trust takes time. I don’t have a way to prove to you who I am before you’ve met me. But I’ll try to explain to you who I know myself to be, and then you can decide how you want to proceed.
I was born into a conservative evangelical home in the United States and then as a young adult was recruited into a cult. In spite of immense pressure to be dishonest with myself, I stood by what I was observing and experiencing, which eventually lead to me leaving the cult. This was just over 20 years ago.
Since then I have rebuilt. I went through long periods of extreme isolation. I got through it with continued honesty and hard work. Overcoming indoctrination is not a simple thing. It is a process. And we are all, to some extent, indoctrinated.
During my journey to find my own mind, my own voice, and trust my own vision and perspective, I went through homelessness, abusive relationships, starvation, and the health problems that come from those things.
I also became the Vice President of a local newspaper and web app development company, which I ran for five and a half years. While running the company I got an undergraduate degree in Anarchist Archaeology. My focus was to apply my heart and mind to the dissolution of oppressive institutions and theoretical models constraining human experience and expression.
Six months ago I left everything and started over, yet again, to get out of the United States and be closer to the woman I love. I have started over and rebuilt my self and world more times than I can count, and it’s lead me to have both exceptional flexibility with regards to accepting my limitations and freedoms simultaneously. To survive I had to learn to exhibit ideological agency with determination and humility. Without determination, I could not have embraced my own will and perspective. Without humility, I could not have repaired my social experience.
Losing everything gives a person perspective. Rebuilding it gives a person experience and knowledge. So now I teach people what I have learned. Because it is valuable. And it is beautiful. And it is powerful.
What if I’m processing a major trauma?
It’s not uncommon. Unfortunately, many of us have lived through some truly awful things. If this is you, yes, I can work with you. I don’t primarily focus on trauma work specifically, but I have my own history and it informs how I interact with people. When help someone on their journey, we start where they are and world within reality. Reality is beautiful, but it is also a brutal place. That said, I am not a therapist. If you’re in the middle of processing a trauma and you want to work with me, I strongly advise that you also see a mental health professional while working with me. If you are currently in the midst of a mental health crisis, I cannot work with you unless you are actively receiving care from a mental health provider. My work is not meant to be a replacement for therapy or mental health services.
Do I have to [standard super spiritual expectation]?
Absolutely not. Let’s give some examples: “do I have to forgive in order to grow?” No. If somebody did some bullshit to you, being angry with them is valid, and the best way for you to grow, is to understand that anger and why their bad behavior implicates them and not you. Being angry with them is not a moral failure. “Is it true that I have to love myself before anybody will…” no. I can’t think of a single person in my life who I love where my loving them has to do with their feelings about themselves. Not one. So I know with certainty that it does not work that way. People say that because it’s what they learned to say and it’s easy to repeat. They can sound wise without having to be wise and avoid really being there for someone at the same time. It’s lazy. It’s false. And they’re full of shit. “Do I have to be positive?” No, positivity and negativity are part of a damaging system built on a false binary that pressures people into reducing their experiences and trying to fix the things that hurt by pretending that they don’t hurt. It’s bullshit. All of these things are bullshit. If it’s something that you saw on a positivity poster, and then it was applied as a universal rule, it is the fact that these things are applied universally that makes them bullshit. It isn’t the words themselves, but the ways that these ideas are used to subvert, avoid, and appear wise at the expense of those that are hurting and brave enough to be honest about their pain. It is the weak pretending to be strong by stepping on those who are strong enough to have the courage to appear weak. It is the cheap, unverified, unsubstantiated, damaging work of arrogant fools. THAT is why it’s bullshit. We’re not doing that.
What is the time commitment?
Like with most things, what you put into it will dictate what you get out of it. But it’s not a rigid curriculum. It’s a move away from that mentality as a whole. A move towards a more organic way of existing and interacting with the self and with the world. And that’s not some bullshit avoidance of the question. It’s just how things work. We like to think we can section off the day, but the day has never heard of borders between minutes and hours. Ideally, the time commitment is always. Because, ideally, this is going to change how you exist as a whole. It takes repetition. Intentionality. It’s about a new way of being. I will work with you to customize methods that respect your schedule. But, realistically, if you put 5 minutes per day into it, you’ll get a 5 minutes per day level benefit from it. If you think of it as separate from anything else in your life, then, unfortunately, it will be. If you’re looking for real growth and change, then let’s do that. If you’re looking for kind of a decorative side quest, this might not actually be the thing for you.
Do I have to give up my faith?
No, you do not. My job is to help people to challenge their indoctrination and find empowerment. But true empowerment means that YOU are making the final decisions about what you believe. Not society. Not your past. Not your trauma. And NOT me. YOU are the authority on how you move through this world. I have spiritual capacities and insights that I lean on to help me in guiding people through this process of empowerment, but you don’t need to believe in those things. That’s a part of how I exist, it doesn’t have to color what you think about this world. And whether or not you believe in any given god or tradition simply is not a part of what I’m trying to bring to your life. I want to bring you greater agency and empowerment through the application of question and process. You are beautiful. You are powerful. You have agency already. I am working to promote that agency.
Can I change my mind?
I certainly hope so. That’s the whole point of what I’m trying to help people find the power to do. To change your mind about how existence operates and how you operate within it in ways that lead to better outcomes and a more authentic sense of self and context. If you change your mind about working with me, specifically, these are my policies: If it’s within the first thirty days after buying a service and you haven’t redeemed the service then you can get a full refund. If it’s within the first thirty days and you’ve redeemed part of the service, then you can get a partial refund, which depends on some of the particulars of exactly what’s happened. My cancellation policy for being able to get a refund for a single appointment is also available as long as it’s within thirty days of purchase, with a 24 hour notice cancellation policy. The thirty day limit on refunds is there to protect me and give me stability.
